Lumia Denim

Update Unfortunately the below information could not be verified & you can consider it as rather unuseful. However this does not mean that Lumia Denim update wont arrive in December, it shall come .. definitely come!

Yes, I know many of you guys are waiting desperately for Lumia Denim to roll-out especially those who are not a part of Developer Preview program.

For those of who you dont know, Lumia Denim along with some Lumia specific experiences will bring the goodies associated with Windows Phone 8.1 Update (Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1). You can read about Lumia Denim and Windows Phone 8.1

Now heres the tentative roll-out schedule of Lumia Denim for India. Please note this can completely change as there is no way of verifying the information gathered and it can so happen that Microsoft can change it last minute.

Schedule

  • As per the info, Lumia Denim will roll-out to all Lumia devices in India before the end of December
  • The roll-out will be in three phases & can extend till end of December
    • Around 10th Dec
    • Around 15th Dec
    • Around 20th Dec
  • Lumia Denim will roll to premium devices like Lumia 1520, Lumia 930, Lumia 1020 and Lumia 925 around 10th of Dec
  • Next batch will have devices like Lumia 520, 525, 530, 630, 620 and 625. Lumia Denim will roll to these devices around 15th of Dec
  • Lastly Lumia Denim will hit devices like Lumia 920, Lumia 1320, Lumia 820, Lumia 720 by around 20th of Dec

As I mentioned earlier, this is tentative and not firm. Some devices can exchange places or the roll-out itself can completely be altered but on the positive side this information is very latest so the chances of it holding true are also very high.

At the global level, we recently heard of Lumia Denim roll-out to be on track with premium devices surely getting it before the end of December. If you have hit the link that I mentioned at the beginning of the post then you will know that French carrier SFR is also planning to roll Lumia Denim to devices like 1520, 930, 625 & 520 in Dec.

So all in all we can conclude that December is the month when Lumia Denim begins to roll-out. Now lets wait for official info & schedule to hit the web.
