A good news to note for the day is the stat coming from Microsoft by the Numbers website, according to which there are now more than 5,60,000 apps in the Windows & Windows Phone Store combines.

This number was around 5,25,000 on Nov 14th & since then the stores have gained 35,000 new apps in total. One more step back and the stores had around 4,00,000 apps on June 27th. So what you are looking is quite a good growth of both the stores combined in number of apps.

As Microsoft unveils Windows 10 this year, we will be soon be looking at a single store for both Windows & Windows Phone operating systems.
